The Challenge
Making an Invisible Industry Visible
Battery recycling happens behind the scenes. Unlike consumer products or retail brands, there is no natural consumer touchpoint, no retail shelf, no unboxing moment. Most people have never seen a battery recycling plant or thought about what happens to the lithium-ion battery in their phone, laptop, or electric scooter after it degrades. Renovar needed content that could make this invisible industry tangible, understandable, and compelling to watch.
Communicating Technical Processes Without Technical Jargon
Renovar's actual operations involve battery collection logistics, safe disassembly, chemical processing, metal extraction, and material recertification. Explaining this with industrial footage would require plant access, specialized filming equipment, and safety clearances, and the resulting footage would still look like any other industrial process video. The content needed to communicate the what and why of battery recycling without getting lost in the how of chemical engineering.

What We Did
Video 1: Brand Explainer (~56 Seconds)
The first video serves as Renovar's primary brand introduction. It opens with an illustrated green city skyline, establishing the sustainability context immediately, and poses a direct question to the viewer: "Believe in a greener future? Watch this video - Renovar shares your vision!"
The video then moves through a structured narrative:
Mission Introduction. The video establishes Renovar's core mission with clear, bold typography: "We're on a mission to recycle used lithium-ion batteries, ensuring a cleaner world." This is accompanied by animated battery icons showing the transformation from used (black outline) through the recycling symbol to renewed (green filled), visually encoding the circular economy concept in a single frame.
Brand Positioning. The Renovar Eco Solutions logo is introduced alongside a health heartbeat icon connected to a battery illustration, with the message: "Renovar gives your used batteries a second life." This frames battery recycling not as waste disposal but as renewal and extension, a deliberate positioning choice.
Process Walkthrough. The video illustrates Renovar's collection and recycling process using animated illustrations: a delivery rider on a scooter (representing doorstep collection) traveling from urban locations to a detailed recycling plant illustration. The message "Used batteries are brought and stored securely in our recycling plant" is presented with kinetic typography, with the keyword "batteries" highlighted in green.
The Results
This project demonstrates Wonkrew's capability in the following content categories:
Motion Graphics Explainer Videos. Illustrated, animated videos that explain complex business concepts, processes, or value propositions without live-action footage. Ideal for technology companies, B2B businesses, sustainability ventures, and any brand that needs to make an abstract or invisible service tangible and engaging.
Data-Driven Video Content. Videos that present industry statistics, market data, growth projections, and research findings through animated data visualizations rather than static charts or talking heads. Particularly effective for awareness campaigns, thought leadership content, and investor-facing materials.
