The Challenge
Battery recycling is an industry that most people do not understand, even as it becomes one of the most critical environmental and commercial challenges of the EV era. The website had to communicate complex concepts: why lithium is scarce, why 4 billion batteries are discarded annually in the US alone, why 5 billion lithium-ion batteries from phones were discarded in India in 2022, how recycling creates a circular supply chain, and why this matters for EV costs and adoption. The audience spans multiple segments: individuals looking to recycle their batteries, businesses seeking responsible disposal partners, potential investors, and partners interested in the circular economy. Each needs different information at different levels of technical depth.
What We Did
Narrative-Driven Homepage
The homepage follows a deliberate storytelling arc: Challenge → Solution → Commitment → Partnership. Rather than leading with services, it opens by establishing the problem (growing EV demand, lithium scarcity, battery disposal crisis) with specific data points. Only after the visitor understands why this matters does the site introduce Renovar's solution. This narrative approach turns a corporate website into an educational experience.
Challenge Section
The Challenges section uses specific statistics to create urgency: 34 million EVs expected globally by 2030, consumer electronics battery market projected at a focused ad budget billion by 2030, cobalt and lithium estimated to be depleted within 30 to 70 years, 4 billion batteries discarded annually in the US, 5 billion lithium-ion batteries from phones discarded in India in 2022. These numbers transform an abstract environmental concern into a tangible crisis.
Solution Section
The Solution section introduces Renovar's core services: Doorstep Collection, Safe Transportation, Refurbish & Repurpose, Material Recovery, and an AI Solution for battery assessment. The services are presented as components of a circular supply chain, not just standalone offerings.
Commitment Section
The website explicitly aligns Renovar with three global frameworks: Global Battery Alliance, Paris Agreement, and COP 27. This is a strategic positioning decision that elevates the company from a recycling service to a participant in the global sustainability movement.
Multi-Audience Pathways
The Results
The engagement delivered measurable improvements across key performance indicators, establishing a foundation for sustained growth.
Key Takeaway
This project demonstrates how targeted expertise and data-driven execution can deliver real business outcomes, not just vanity metrics.
