The Challenge
Turning Craft Into Content at Scale
Cake Square creates visually spectacular products every day. Multi-tier wedding cakes, themed birthday cakes, and sculptural showpieces are their standard output. But creating beautiful cakes and creating beautiful content about those cakes are entirely different disciplines. The bakery needed a production partner who could be embedded in the workflow, capturing the right moments across multiple creation stages without disrupting the artisans' process or the delivery timeline. The content needed to look intentional and produced while being captured in a real working kitchen environment.

What We Did
Video 1: Castle Cake Making-of (~78 Seconds)
The first video opens with a jaw-dropping reveal: a completed castle cake displayed in Cake Square's showroom. The castle is a multi-tiered sculptural masterpiece featuring pink-tipped turrets with golden ball finials, arched doorways with golden trim, white fondant walls with golden brick detailing, character figurines perched atop the highest tower, and intricate window designs across multiple levels. Flanking the castle are additional ornate tiered cakes in red and gold, creating a display that looks more like a set piece than a bakery product.
The video then cuts to the kitchen, shifting from finished spectacle to raw process. An artisan in a yellow Cake Square uniform and hair net carefully applies fondant to a massive circular cake tier, the base layer alone wider than his arm span. Blue food-safe gloves, stainless steel work surfaces, and a clinical kitchen environment ground the content in genuine craft rather than staged performance.
The middle section captures the most compelling moment: two artisans working together to stack and align a massive mid-section tier. The physical effort is visible as they lift and position a fondant-covered structure that weighs several kilograms, the red and white bands already applied, the castellated trim along the edges demanding precise alignment. This is the kind of moment that stops the scroll: the viewer realizes this is not decoration on a cake, it is architecture in sugar.
The Results
This case study demonstrates Wonkrew's capabilities in several areas relevant to other potential clients and projects. Note that the two videos shown here are representative samples from a much larger ongoing production engagement.
Food and beverage behind-the-scenes content where the making process is as visually compelling as the finished product, particularly for premium bakeries, restaurants, catering operations, and artisan food brands where craft and quality differentiation are key selling points.
