The Challenge
Building an online academy for an international coaching organisation presents several specific requirements. The platform needed to support: user registration and account management, payment processing for course fees (serving buyers from multiple countries and currencies), course delivery with structured learning content, multiple certification programs at different levels, a professional design that matches the calibre of the organisation's in-person work, and a user dashboard for learners to track their progress. All of this needed to be built on WordPress and WooCommerce rather than a dedicated LMS platform like Teachable or Thinkific, giving the client full ownership of their platform without ongoing SaaS subscription costs or platform dependency.
What We Did
WooCommerce-Based LMS Platform
The academy is built on WordPress with WooCommerce handling registration, payment, and course access. This architecture gives the client: complete ownership of the platform and data (no SaaS vendor lock-in), flexibility to add courses, modify pricing, and manage users independently, international payment processing for a global audience, and the ability to customise the learning experience beyond what SaaS LMS platforms typically allow.
Course Structure
The platform hosts multiple programs organised into two categories:
Certifications (for professional coaches): Individual Certification Training (with free preview option) Human Potential Team Coach Certification Training
Trainings (for leaders and managers): Training: Creating Breakthroughs in Employee Experience
The free preview option for the Individual Certification is a deliberate conversion strategy: it allows potential buyers to experience the platform and sample the content before committing to the full certification fee.
User Dashboard
Registered users access a "My Account" dashboard where they can view enrolled courses, track progress, and manage their account. This creates a return-visit experience rather than a one-time purchase.
Trust Architecture
The homepage builds credibility through: testimonials from certified coaches and clients (with specific, detailed quotes about transformation experienced), scale statistics (2,400+ assessments, 50+ clients, 6 continents, 50+ coaches), trainer profiles with professional bios, and the organisation's philosophy and methodology overview.
The testimonials are notably detailed and specific. Rather than generic praise, coaches describe specific shifts in their practice and their clients' experiences. This level of testimonial detail is unusual and powerful for a coaching certification platform.
